The Council of Governors now says they do not care whether they are stopped from flying the national flag on their cars as what is more important is service delivery to residents of their counties.
Chair of the council Isaac Ruto says the flag is not the property of the national government but that of all citizens in the republic of Kenya.
Speaking during the launch of the devolution conference website at a city hotel,Ruto said flying the flag was the least of the governors concerned at the moment.
He says it is more critical for governors to ensure that resources are reaching their counties and that their people benefit from them.Ruto had last week stated that the national flag is a symbol of unity across the country which will be threatened if governors start flying 47 different flags.
