A young boy in Nairobi’s Kiamaiko slums has joined leaders from Marsabit area in
their efforts to bring peace in the conflict ridden region.
Eight year old Wario Abkulu has taken upon himself to talk against hatred among the communities in Marsabit that had trickled down to Kiamaiko slums in Nairobi.
Wario specifically condemned a woman in Kimaiko who was allegedly playing a music CD that was fueling hate among the Borana and the Burji communities in the area.
“I wish she could stop singling out one tribe because all of us are Kenyans and would appreciate peace,” said Wario.
” We should all work towards stopping the bloodshed going on in Marsabi,” continued Wario.
Marsabit leaders led by former parliament speaker Francis Ole Kaparo signed a peace deal last month that is aimed at bringing long lasting peace in the area.
