Local product franchise Naivas supermarket has challenged soccer powerhouse ghetto radio to a friendly match earlier this afternoon in Nairobi.
Speaking at the occasion, charity Gitonga, assistant manager marketing and business development of the supermarket challenged senior sports reporter Polosa number tano to a friendly match, something that football pundits at the media house term as‘kujikaranga wenyewe na mafuta yao.’
“Unajua kuna torna flani tuli impeach ma senators huko utalii, sasa hawa wanyonge wanatafuta vako na sisi nini ama ni para tu za kupata allowance na kuhepa wera,” said Smatta, presenter of local program niaje niaje.
Analyzing the game to be played at an announced venue soon, were pundits Polosa number tano and Curtis in their football show offside. A fan favorite show aired every Saturday afternoon on ghetto radio.
The duo, great defense Marshalls, sees the outing as a nice practice session to create an appetite for a pilao feast somewhere in Majengo estate with a cold Coca-Cola soda.
The friendly match will also see the forging of close ties between the two companies as they both embark on charity agendas.
Naivas supermarket in conjunction with ghetto radio, currently are running a campaign dubbed ‘Supa dada campaign’ to help disadvantaged adolescent girls in different primary schools in Nairobi and its outskirts with sanitary pads.
The campaign last week saw the duo work together in Machakos county and this gesture might have sparked off some ideas about a game from the supermarket boss.
Ghetto radio are currently the plates champions of Uwazi cup, an annual tournament that was held last month.
The media guys look forward to add their already parked cabinet with a pretty looking trophy when they go shopping to Naivas supermarket and teach them a thing or two about football.
