Speaker of the national assembly Justin Muturi has defended lack of quorum witnessed at times in parliament saying the members are usually tied up on other engagements in the house.
Muturi says at the moment the national assembly has a shortage of committee rooms and any chance available is utilized even during house sessions.
Speaking at parliament buildings Muturi is proposing that the county hall and KICC where the senate used to sit be allocated to coalition parties so they can use it to deliberate on matters and laws before parliament.
He says this will perhaps help in formulating bills and laws that are productive and well researched before both the senate and national assembly.
