Harambee Stars Continue To Drop In Fifa Rankings

starsAfter the recent 3-0 loss to Morocco in an international friendly  Kenya’s Harambee Stars has now dropped from 111 and now ranked 116 in the Latest FIFA Ranking released on Thursday 23rd October.

The highest ranked team in the Region Uganda has  fallen five places down and currently are ranked 84th from position 79 in September.

Cranes fall is attributed to the back-to-back losses to Togo in the AFCON Qualifiers .

However, there was rise for Tanzania and Ethiopia who are now ranked 110 and 111 in the world respectively.

Ethiopia were the biggest movers rising 21 places from 132 last month.

World champions Germany maintain top spot followed by Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and Netherlands in that order.

Argentina come in second while Colombia, Belgium, Netherlands, Brazil, France, Uruguay, Portugal, Spain complete the top 10 countries in the world.

FIFA’s world rankings are intended to be an at a glance measure of a national teams standing in the world game.
