The Orange Democratic Movement’s leader, Raila Odinga, has condemned the attack on Magerer Lang’at and has asked police to investigate the matter.
In a statement Raila said some of those who assaulted the ODM executive director have owned up to their actions and others were caught on camera.
“I call upon the police and other law enforcement arms of government to take up the matter and ensure justice is done.
“The party’s National Executive Committee will also meet next week to deliberate further on the matter,” he said in a statement Friday.
He also urged ODM members to know that violence and intimidation are totally unacceptable.
