
Nairobi County will be allocated the highest funding in all the 47 counties in the 2014- 2015 county governments revenue allocation.
The new revenue allocation parameters will see Nairobi get over 15 million shillings up from the initial 11.3 million shillings.
Kakamega will follow Nairobi with 9.4 million shillings then Kilifi County with 9.3 million shillings.
Lineth Oyugi a director from the Commission of Revenue Allocation says the parameters for the revenue allocation were reached at with regards put on population and poverty indices.
Oyugi further added that the commission came up with the revenue allocation formula after consultation with the county executives and other stakeholders.
Mandera and Kiambu Counties completed the top five counties.
The bottom five counties included Lamu, Tharaka Nithi, Isiolo, Samburu and Elgeyo Marakwet
