
Women are being discouraged against getting on the counter advise on family planning methods.
Pamela Obuya a family planning health personel in Kariakor says majority of women in the area are seeking information on family planning methods from chemists instead of health facilities.
Obuya wants women to visit health facilities near them for proper guidance on family planning methods from doctors as some chemist attendants might not be qualified enough to handle the matter.
She told Ghetto Radio news proper and thorough medical tests should be carried out before any woman adopts a particular family planning method and this is never done chemists.
She added that they risk getting complications by adopting family planning methods without proper tests from qualified medical practioners
