Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero Tuesday assured women that security will be stepped up to prevent what he termed primitive’ acts
Kidero said all women are entitled to wear what they like and no one should dictate their dress code.
Kidero’s sentiments come shortly after two women were stripped in Nairobi and Mombasa on allegations that they were indecently dressed leading to massive protests on Monday.
He further said the county government will ensure all women are safe irrespective of how they are dressed.
The video of the stripped women went viral on social media platforms and eventually started a heated discusion on twitter with the hashtag #MyDressMyChoice
