Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Michael Kamau has criticized concerted efforts by certain individuals who want the cashless system not to take off.
Kamau cited political intent by individuals opposed to the Jubilee government as the main reason for the opposition of the project.
Speaking during the launch of the activation drive for the KCB Pepea card the minister says the cashless system was meant to improve the transport sector and called for unity in its implementation.
The cashless system was meant to take off on the 1st of December but failed due to lack of preparedness and publicity.
