Public health workers strike entered day two on Wednesday, paralyzing medical services in public hospitals countrywide.
A spot check by Ghetto radio News revealed that in some hospitals only emergency cases were being attended to while the rest were being referred to private facilities.
At the Pumwani Maternity hospital a section of patients who spoke to Ghetto Radio News, revealed that some of the emergencies were being referred to Kenyatta national hospital with no major cases of neglect reported.
The health workers are protesting the planned devolution of health services from national governments to county governments and so far two patients have been reported dead due to the strike.
