Those planning to hold night parties will have to get permits from their local chiefs or police stations if they intend to have liquor for the parties.
Speaking during the launch of Road Safety Awareness Campaign NACADA’s chairman John Mututho said the permits would cost between kshs500 and kshs1000 and expire at 11 pm in the night.
He urged the youth to reduce alcohol consumption especially during this festive season revealing that almost 120 billion shillings is spent by the youth on drugs and alcohol annually.
He further called on Kenyans to consume alcohol from quality brands with the addition of many brands in the market while only 50 out of the 500 of those brands in the market being recognized by the government.
