There was confusion at the Police Training College in Kiganjo, Nyeri County after several recruits who had reported for training were turned away.
The recruits had gone to the institution following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive for the 10,000 police recruited in 2014 to report to their training stations.
The directive which was issued in the wake of the Garissa University terror attack that saw at least 148 students massacred.
The recruits who had come from as far as Homa Bay, Kericho, Bomet and Molo had reported early Sunday morning for admission, unaware that the exercise had being cancelled.
