Ndanu Munene Mbithi on the Kenya Police plane that was meant to fly Recce squad to Garissa
The Kenya Police Airwing plane was not immediately available to fly the GSU Recce Company on the morning of the Garissa University College terrorist attack because it was flying the daughter in law of Kenya Police Airwing Commandant Rogers Mbithi.
This emerged as photos of Mbithi’s daughter in law Ndanu Munene Mbithi and an unknown female friend surfaced on line.
Ndanu is said to have posted the photos with her friend saying how much they enjoyed holiday in Mombasa on her Instagram account.
The account that has already been pulled down.
IG Joseph Boinet has confirmed receiving a report confirming that the plane was not available as it had flown some private individuals to Mombasa.
Delay of the plane saw Recce officers who ended the attack in Garissa arrive in Garissa at noon despite the attack starting at dawn.
