Beauty queens from various universities in Kenya on Thursday graced the official launch of Ghetto Radio’s 2013 Serious Request #SUPADADA Edition. Miss UON, Miss K.U, Miss Catholic University and many more beauty queens were the first on board the supadada train to show support for the great venture.
During the launch, the beauties declared their support in making sure that their respective universities contributed sanitary towels to the great cause. After the launch the beauty queens then proceeded to the blood donation center to give blood as a way of showing support to the week long affair.
Apart from the beauty queens Kenyan artists Songbird Avril and Redsan rocked the crowd that was at the Hilton Square to show support the three ladies who are on a hunger strike to empower women. Serious Request Kenya is in its 6th edition. In the last five editions, the annual event focused on IDPs’, Malaria, Blood donation, HIV testing and Peaceful elections.
