Deputy President William Ruto has denied any intentions by the government to curtail media freedom in the country.
Speaking during the world Press Freedom Day convention Ruto says Jubilee government is committed to a free, independent and professional media contrary to hostility reports it has been attributed to.
Ruto has also urged the media to be fair and objective in their reporting.
World Press freedom day is a day that is set to assess the state of press freedom worldwide.
