Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and nominated MP Birdi Sonia have been released on a bond of Sh300,000 or cash bail of Sh150,000.
The two were this morning charged in a Naivasha court with three charges of creating disturbances, incitement and using the name of the president to invoke fear where they denied the charges.
Keter stormed the weighbridge station accompanied by nominated MP Sunjeev Birdi accusing the officials of ignoring telephone calls from senior government officials and demanding the release of lorries that had been detained for exceeding the set axle-load limit and lacking valid paper work.
Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko directed the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to investigate the MPs.
