Gor Mahia continues to register impressive results after they opened a nine point lead in the Kenyan Premier League table by beating Muhoroni 1-0 Youth at Moi Stadium Kisumu on Sunday.
KOgalo striker Michael Olunga scored the goal in the first half with a powerful left footed strike from the edge of the box a goal which gave them all the maximum points at the end of the game.
Muhoroni side however objected the goal claiming a Gor Mahia player had handed the ball in the build up to the goal but the referee did hear that.
Muhoroni’s best chance arrived in the 64th minute when Jeremiah Wanjala broke through on goal only to shoot tamely at Gor goalkeeper Bonface Oluoch.
The rest of the match was a hard encounter with Gor Mahia desiring to widen their lead as Muhoroni attempts to search of at least an equalizer. A minute of added time never changed the matter leaving K’Ogalo as the match’s winners.
