The fight against illicit brews and second generation liquor was intensified Tuesday in Mathare with Mathare assistant county commissioner and constituents raiding bars and homes to destroy alcohol.
Mathare assistant commisoner Angeline Oduor termed the operetion a success saying they destroyed a total of 8 thousand litres of Kangara.
She said the community has helped a lot in exposing dens that produce the alcohol promising to continue with the operation in all wards in Mathare.
On the other hand constituents are sharply divided over the operation with some supporting it while others against it.
