boniface6Its strange when some one talks about their own death on his birthday.Its even scary when they symbolize it.

Exactly!This is how popular photographer and activist Boniface Mwangi has made lots of people feel over the past few days.

Incase you are still asking…Boniface Mwangi celebrated his 32nd birthday on 11th July.The activist took to social media to write about it but ended up imagining his own death.

He later on went and bought a coffin and took to Lang’ata cemetery where he got buried alive.Right.He was buried.

So what about this.Is it Symbolic? Has he seen his death coming soon?Is his life in danger?? Or Boniface is just pulling a publicity stunt? No way.Boniface is not the kinda.

So as many questions go unanswered,check out the message he wrote on his Birthday,and the photos of his own burial;

“Today is my Birthday, here are my thoughts as I celebrate 32 great years in this world.
One day I will die, I don’t know when and how but I will surely die. I will be lying on that cold slab. Breathless, lifeless. Finally silent. I won’t be buried with my loving wife, or my kids. The things that I loved; my bike, my camera, my books will not be buried with me. The only thing that will be left is my legacy.What did I achieve when I was alive?
That is the question we need to ask ourselves. Are you helping or destroying? How will you be remembered? Are you silent when the poor are oppressed? When land is grabbed, when we are divided on tribal lines, do you observe and go about your business? Are you one of those people who side with the majority? Who look on as the rich and powerful oppress the poor. Remember we will all die, and when we die we won’t take our bank accounts.
We won’t take our titles with us. we won’t go with our adoring fans. No groupies, no selfies. No more rallies and campaigns. All that remains is a legacy and I don’t mean the subaru. I am talking about the impact of your actions. Remember your life is a gift, what you do with your life is your gift to the world. Leave this world better than you found it. Wherever you are, whether you are a watchman, a matatu tout, a hawker, doctor, policeman, Change the world don’t just sit idle. Don’t let fear stop you or hold you back. remember that you will never achieve anything without courage.”
