The Independent Police Oversight Authority is calling for investigations into the indecent exposure of high school girls’ pictures showing their private parts.
This follows an outrage from members of the public and human rights actvists after photos showing the students being stripped naked went viral.
“The police should be the custodians of the law. Why expose children to his form of ridicule? Were they on the wrong? Yes. But do they deserve this ridicule no?” posed Diana Rose Okello a human rights activist.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet also released a statement that police officers involved in the indecent exposure of the children have been interdicted.
“”We are considering taking disciplinary action on the officer especially for distributing the photos on social media after completion of investigations,” Boinnet said
