On a chilly day like this it is much appreciated when the fans warm up the stadium as they did today.  The atmosphere today was vibrating with anticipation, every voice predicting an easy Kawangware victory, that is until the TUK fans began chanting their school teams’ name, booing whenever Kawangware players got the ball and generally making their boys’ jobs easier as the 12th men.  In the 15th minute Odhiambo Yonis put TUK ahead and this was the spark that TUK needed. On the 25th minute Omondi Jaconia added the tally for TUK , at this point took was firmly in the driver’s seat having successfully controlled the midfield  due to their exploiting Kawangware’s hole in the midfield, unsurprisingly  the Kawangware head coach moved Francis Theiru further downfield to shore up this  hole, this tactical decision was rewarded by a Samuel Nganga goal. The second half held little except an equalizer from Kawangware, a fight back was on the cards! The stadium was exploding with vuvuzelas from all sides, fans both bemoaning their teams situations and providing support for their boys. It was a physical midfield with long balls flying into the abyss of Russia and eliciting emotion. Inevitably the game went to penalties with TUK winning 6-4.

The second game of the brought more fans to the stadium,  Kiambiu Youth Vs MASA FC was a firecracker waiting to blow up, immediately the game settled  into a possession based game with both teams sharing possession, open play was a mix of tiki taka and counter attack football making the fans  explode all round the stadium, all emotions were present from anger to happiness all in one game. In the 13th minute Wethuli Eugene opened the scoring for MASA, in the 21st minute Kiambi striker James Mandela equalized, 30th minute Liyala Kevin put MASA two ahead, it took till the 85th minute for Kiambiu to equalize with a Calwes Omondi cracker. The game ended 5-4 on penalties. We have our finalists TUK Vs  Kiambiu Youth. Be there on 30 August at Nyayo Stadium for the East v West final.
