Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has withdrawn his interest to vie for the Orange Democratic Movement’s Vice Chairmanship position in elections slated for next month.
Kidero says he withdrew to give others a chance to vie for the post and indicated that he would support whoever is elected.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News, his press officer George Millar asserted that the governor will however remain loyal to the party and support all its endeavors.
Kidero had earlier expressed interest in the Vice-Chairmanship, a position that has attracted the interest of Nominated Senator Janet Ong’era.
ODM will hold its National Delegates Convention on February 28 and March 1 where party members are expected to elect new party national office bearers.
