Former Football Kenya Secretary General Lordvick Omondi Aduda has called on FKF President Sam Nyamweya to stop politicking and focus on the development of soccer in the country.
Aduda was speaking in light of the decision made by the Federations Executive committee at a consultative meeting held on the 16th of February 2014 where they agreed to expel Vice Chairman Sammy Sholei and Nairobi Branch Chairman Dr. Dan Shikanda and expulsion of Aduda whom they accused of bringing the game to disrepute and failing to give a proper account for money he handled during his tenure. .
Aduda has now been appointed GorMahia Chief Executive Officer termed the meeting unconstitutional
“I don’t know who passed such a resolution since according to the Federations constitution the only meetings that are lawful are the annual general meeting which is held annually and the Special Generals Meeting which is called in case of an urgent matter , there’s nothing in the constitution as a consultative meeting” Aduda said.
“I resigned in October 2012 and so the issue of expulsion that not a rise and furthermore we are in 2014 what took the federation this long to take action on me, he added.
Aduda challenged Nyamweya to take him in court if he has been accused of plundering the organizations resources saying that the law is clear on that saying that if one is accused of that he should be taken in a court of law.
Sholei and Shikanda were accused of taking matters of the federation to court where by the two had sought a court order to stop an SGM where the federation’s constitution was ratified, prompting the NEC decision to suspend them.
Another resolution which we think lead to a controversy with the Kenya Premeire League is all Branches will also be entitled to 10 per cent quota from all gate collections in matches played at their backyard, including KPL, National Super League and Division One matches , considering KPL is a Limited company.
The 18-point-resolution statement also called on branches to put up strong financial systems to ensure transparency and accountability in all funding.
A task force chaired by Robert Asembo, the FKF vice president, to chair an eight-man taskforce to draft the branches and sub-branches’ constitutions conclude the work by June and present their report for ratification by the AGM.
All football academies in the country must, henceforth, get a charter from the Federation which will also license their operations on recommendation by the host branch and pay a prescribed before a certificate of authority is issued by the national office.
