The government through the youth enterprise development fund has offered 70 youth drawn from all the 47 counties countrywide technical and hospitality Jobs in Dubai and Qatar. Chairman youth enterprise development fund Gor Semelang’o said the government is fulfilling part of its campaign promises to the youth.
Speaking during the sending off of the 70 at their offices Friday, Semelang’o added that he will ensure that unemployed youth in the country get jobs further promising to send one million youth out of the country every year for employment opportunities.
“my joy unlike what the situation would be many years ago does not derive fact that these young brothers and sisters of mine will explore a new world rather i am glad that Kenya for once has begun to make her human capital available to the rest of the world in a systematic and structured manner.”
He said the Kenya intends to improve her economy through labor export, citing the world bank report that listed Nigeria, Algeria, morocco and south Africa as countries that earn over one billion US dollars from labor exports.
“We are liaising with our ambassadors in the countries you will be working in to ensure that you are doing your work well and that you will be properly protected during your stay in those countriues”said Semelang’0
