A 4 year old girl was defiled on Sunday by a neighbour in Soweto Kibera slums.
The girl’s father Alfred Karanja says the man who is 25 years old lured the girl into his house with sweets then raped her.
Karanja says his wife noticed that the girl was missing when she went to call her to take a bath.
“She tried to call out for her to take a bath but there was no response,” says Karanja.
Thirty minutes later the girl then appeared at her mother’s door visibly stricken.
After a brief interrogation the girl finally spoke and told her mother that the neighbour has raped.
Karanja says the mother then ran out and called the neighbours who locked the man inside the house to prevent him from escaping.
The girl was later rushed to Mbagathi Hospital after which a formal report was made to Kibera Laini Saba Police Station.
The suspect was arrested and is currently at the line saba police station waiting top be arrighned in court..
