Former Othaya MP Mary Wambui
A certificate nullifying the election of Mary Wambui as Othaya MP after her election was invalidated has been issued by the court of appeal sitting in nyeri.
The certificate signed by the Nyeri court of appeal deputy register Vincent Nyakundi and addressed to the speaker of the national assembly Justin Muturi was handed over to the petitioner of the case Peter Kingara
The speaker of the national assembly is now expected to declare the seat vacant.
The electoral body IEBC is expected to call for a by-election 90 days after the seat is declared vacant.
