Athletics Kenya is planning to hire a consultant to advice the federation on how to run events.
AK President Isaiah Kiplagat says they have shortlisted four consulting companies that will ensure that the Federation’s sponsors and stakeholders get value for what they have invested in.
“We would like the consultant to also collect the data on whether our events have been successful or have failed and link us with the public a “said Kiplagat.
“The sponsors want numbers and in order to satisfy their demand we should do what is done even in the IAAF where I seat as a council member “he added.
Kiplagat congratulated the team that participated in the just concluded IAAF world indoor Championship that was held in Poland.
The Poland team brought home Gold and one silver despite having a small contingent.
The president said in future AK will lay more emphasis on the indoor Championship saying that lack of facilities has hampered the team’s good performance in the competition.
Kiplagat revealed that Kenya will launch the process of bidding for 2017 the IAAF Youth Championship in Nairobi.
