ODM party has faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta’s state of the nation address terming it as one that lost touch with the interest of the common mwananchi.
In a statement read by outgoing secretary general Anyang’ Nyong’o, the party challenged Kenyatta to review his government’s strategy on economic development and move away from overtaxing Kenyans.
The president has also been challenged to take more drastic measures to eliminate graft, inefficiency and wastage of public resources to get sufficient funds to finance development and lower cost of living.
The acting ODM party leader further advised the president to pay more attention to job creation, economic expansion and containing general insecurity and terror threats.
