The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has extended the registration deadline for the 2014 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination by a week.
A statement from KNEC’s Head of Public Communications Frida Were says they have extended the registration to April 7th owing to the challenges being experienced because of the large number of schools trying to access the registration portal at the last minute.
Were however stressed that the the registration deadline for the 2014 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination remains 31st March and no candidate will be registered after the given dates as the registration portal will automatically close.
This is the first time that the registration of the candidates is fully online and the school headteachers are supposed to upload data for each candidate in the Knec website with their photos.
