Hers was a voice that stood out, melow, definative, sweet and left an echo once you heard it. Henrie mutuku is one of pioneers of contemporary gospel music in the country.
The Manzi Wa Maana singer disppeared from the local music arena with little details about her whereabouts. She left for the UK for a while, then came back. In her own words Henri said she wasn’t ready for the public eye yet (again).
In an interview on #theTrend hosted by Larry , Henrie sought to explain why she took abreak from the public life.
‘’…I felt like I had conflicting issues ….. felt like it wasnt about the gospel anymore-so I decided to take abreak…’’ she said.
But now Miss Mutuku is back and with her is her new album ‘’….the album is called Tena…..meaning standing out for your faith and speaking out about it…’’
So what was she up to all this time? ’’…. I was out of the country for a while…. came back went to the village for 3 years to took care of my grandma, volunteered as a missionary and anything in support of the gospel….’’ she added.
Well, welcome back Henrie Mutuku !
