Calm is slowly returning in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area days after the police launched an operation that sent the area into panic mode.
David Oduor a resident in Eastleigh told Ghetto radio news that some business premises which had been closed down due to the operation that was meant to weed out terrorists are now opened.
Oduor says residents are also getting used to the idea of carrying their national IDs to avoid police arrests.
He however urged the police to stop using unnecessary force on their check points.
The police launched the operation last week immediately after multiple grenades exploded in the area.
