GOVERNMENT TO AVAIL DRUGS FOR EPILEPTIC PATIENTS

The government is currently working on mechanisms to see that epilepsy treatment is affordable to those suffering from the condition.

Health principal secretary Fred Sigor says through the help of other stakeholders they also intend to avail drugs to close to a million epilepsy patients in the country.

Speaking during the official launch of fafanuka epilepsy care service by safaricom, Sigor lauded the move which he says will enable Kenyans access information about the condition and how to deal with it.

Meanwhile Moses Waweru an Epileptic patient has called on Kenyans to embrace those suffering from the condition which he says it can be controlled if medication which he says should be free if well prescribed.
