Komarock residents watched in shock this morning as bulldozers brought down their business premises worth millions of shillings.
According to the residents the bulldozers started demolishing the buildings they claim were constructed on a power line hence putting the lives of the residents in danger.
Heavily armed policemen watched over the demolitions that started at 4 am after the whole area was plunged in total blackout.
“Some buildings were being demolished when owners were still inside sleeping.” said an eye witness.
“A church and a club are among the many buildings that were destroyed by the bulldozers. ” he added.
Efforts by the church members to stop the demolitions were not successful. The county askaris at the premises claimed that their land papers were not valid
An area resident told Ghetto Radio News that some thugs took advantage of the blackout and stole from some shops and bars in the area.
