Police fired in the fire and lobed teargas canisters as supporters of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale clashed outside the Milimani law courts early Friday.
Heavy security presence could be felt outside the court after the senator was confronted by angry youth Thursday morning at the court.
Nairobi governor has sued Senator Bonny Khalwale for linking him to the collapse of Mumias Sugar Company.
The High Court issued, for a second time, orders barring the Kakamega senator from making any comments that link Kidero to the Mumias Sugar scandal.
The court gave the parties 14 days to file their responses.
