As majority of Muslims in Kenya celebrate the Eid Ul Fitr marking the official end of the fasting of Ramadhan, the office of the Inspector General of Police says security has been beefed up to ensure the celebrations are peaceful and secure.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio news, police spokesman Masoud Mwinyi says they have put enough officers on ground to monitor and ensure the celebration remains peaceful and objective.
On the other hand Mwinyi is urging members of the public to provide them with any information that may be useful to police officers as they provide the security.
He maintains that they have not received any complaints on security since the Holy month of Ramadhan began.
