Nairobi youths, conducting cleaning of Nairobi River have found another body of a young boy dumped near the river in Dandora area.

The boy aged around five years seems to have been strangled to death before being dumped next to the River.

“The body was found today morning in Dandora area next to the river, with hammer nails drilled on his head

The discovery of the boy’s body brings to a total of 14 bodies retrieved from the River by the youths working under the Ng’arisha Jiji Initiative.

Last week the youths discovered at least six foetuses with a set of twins being discovered on Wednesday.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has condemned the incident calling for investigations against those responsible.

A group of women from Nairobi’s Satelite area are demanding justice following the brutal murder of their colleague by an unknown person.

Twenty two year old Elizabeth Njoki a Commercial Sex Worker was reportedly killed by her client who allegedly tortured her before killing her.

Caro Maina Njoki’s colleague says Njoki was last spotted last week on Friday in Hurlingham area at around 5 am speaking to a client who was in a car.

“Njoki is a very talkative person and when we did not hear from her for two days, we suspected that something wrong happened,” said Maina.

She says it is after the client picked her that she went missing only to be found dead five days later at the Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary.

“We first of all went to her house in Satelite but we did not find her, then we lodged a complaint at the Kilimani Police Station before proceeding to mortuaries only to find her at the KNH Mortuary on Thursday,” said Maina.

Maina says Njoki’s body had strangulation marks, her face was swollen and had suffered deep cuts on her body.

“She looked like she struggled with her assailant before she was finally killed,”  she stated.

She is appealing for justice for Njoki saying many girls have fallen victims of the brutal murders.

“This can happen to any girl. Commercial sex workers are not the only vulnerable people, so justice must be done,” she said.

Kenyan international midfielder Francis Kahata has said that he will make the decision on his next move after the African Cup of Nations.

The former Thika United player’s contract is set to end in June and Tanzanian Side yanga has been touted to be the team he is set to join.

Speaking exclusively to Ghetto Radio Sports the midfielder said that the Tanzanian Champions wanted him to fly this week to seal the deal but he declined.

The biannual tournament is set to be held in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July 2019 and Kahata has been named in the 30 man provisional squad.

The team held  a  full day volleyball clinic with the schools’ volleyball team.,The two teams held mixed training sessions that focused on drills, ball techniques and latest technology in volleyball followed by later had a friendly game that KCB  won 24-13

Kesogon Secondary school principal Mr.Simon Simiyu lauded KCB for the initiative of up scaling the volleyball talent for his players.

Kibra slums Sheikh from Makina area  has  been today  arraigned  in Milimani court for allegedly defiling a  thirteen year old girl and  impregnating  her.

Sheikh Suleiman Hussein has been accused of defiling the under age teen several times at his home where he stays with her.

He has however denied the accusations.

He was slapped with two days remand , and he  is expected in court on Wednesday when his bail application will be heard and determined.

Shaffie Ali of Nubians Rights Forum who led the police in arresting the Sheikh says they took the defiled girl to  Nairobi Women’s Hospital where it was also  found that she is pregnant.

‘’We took her to the hsopital for further tests and it was found that indeed she was defiled and she was also pregnant, we did this together with other four neighbours of the girl who are also our witnesses in the case.’’ Shaffie said.

They  have also cited intimidation  from close families of the accused.

‘‘The family of Sheikh is intimidating our witnesses they were four but following threats two have dropped..but we will pursue this matter until  this girl gets justice.’’ He reiterated.

A Ugandan singer only known as Kaweesa has sued the Ugandan head of state for using his song ‘Another Rap’ during the 2011 presidential campaigns.

Kaweesa has been on Museveni’s case over the song since 2018 and has currently taken to court to demand that the president be compelled to pay for using the song.

Owing to Museveni’s Presidential immunity, Kaweesa has filed a petition to have the immunity withdrawn so that he can be sued as a private individual.

“In any case, the presidential immunity is not absolute because a president can be a proper and necessary party to legal proceedings in the supreme court, challenging presidential elections under article 104 of the constitution, where he issued for his personal actions during elections,therefore, not all acts of the president are official presidential actions, which must be protected by presidential immunity.” He wrote

In 2018 Kaweesa wrote to the head of state seeking Ugandan shillings 5 billion in compensation for copyright infringement.

Kaweesa said he wrote and produced the song, which Museveni’s people used to campaign for votes and eventually won the 2011 polls.

In response, President Museveni dismissed the claims, saying he commissioned the making of the song, which makes him the ultimate owner.

Tanzanian songstress Vanessa Mdee and her RnB star boyfriend Juma Jux have been the topic of discussion since a Tanzanian publication highlighted their break up.

The site even accused Vanessa Mdee’s younger sister Mimi Mars of being the reason for the break up.

Speaking recently the singer refuted the break up rumors saying that work has been tight and that’s simply why they have not been seen in public together.

“Our relationship is still intact. I have been so busy and i have been traveling a lot. The same thing is happening with Jux and that is why people don’t see us much.” She said

The singer added that despite the heavy workload, they have managed to stay together because they are always in touch.

On May 24^th the court upheld the ban on gay sex giving a huge blow to the LGBT community in the country.

This was after a case filled in 2016 by three gay rights organizations that sought to have 162 (a) and (c) and section 165 of the penal code declared unconstitutional.

Four days after the court ruling, Transgender stylist and model Letoya Johnstone claims her life is in danger and she will be seeking asylum soon.

According to Letoya, she has faced backlash from her neighbors and cannot interact freely with anyone.

Police have arrested a Member of County Assembly in Kiambu County for driving a vehicle with Deputy President William Ruto’s picture dressed in full military regalia.

Julius Macharia of Witethie Ward was arrested alongside his driver today morning.

Police say the image portrays Ruto as the Commander-In-Chief which is against the law.

The vehicle is a 14 seater black Toyota Hiace.

BAT Kenya has been put on the spot over an alleged tax evasion amounting to more than two million dollars for two years.

A report released by the Tax Justice Network indicates that BAT is shifting profit between entities in low and middle income countries.

The report dubbed Ashes To Ashes says that KRA may have received up to 2.7 Million dollars less in revenue in 2015 and 2016.

The Kenya Tobacco Alliance is now appealing to the National Treasury to investigate BAT over the allegations.

The alliance has further criticized the government’s spending in mitigating the effects of tobacco in Kenya.

“From the Tobacco taxes that we are getting for every shilling that the government gets, it uses about three to four shillings to mitigate the effects of tobbacco. So it literally does not make sense.” said Joel Gitali Chairman KETCA.

“BAT evades tax by using its multinational corporate structure to pay the minimum amount of corporate tax in countries that most need the revenue and bribing policy makers such as Kenya Revenue Authority thus robbing the country of vital resources to pay for public services,” he noted.

Human Rights Activists in Kiamaiko are appealing for justice over an alleged murder of a young boy by police in Kiamaiko.

Amina Mohamed a rights activist in Kiamaiko claims that an officer only known to them as Guyo allegedly killed a boy last week during a religious clash between Muslims and Christians in the area.

Mohamed says the officer shot the boy despite him not being part of the clashes that happened in the area more than a week ago.

Mohamed says another boy suffered bullet injuries and was admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital. He has however been discharged.

The religious clashes that happened in Kiamaiko saw Muslims and Christians fight with several churches being destroyed.

More that 200 people were arrested in the chaos and arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts.

Forty people have however been released after paying their bonds. Some who have not been released are those without papers.

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has directed  all building owners in Nairobi CBD   to paint them official county colours which are yellow and green.

According to the governor they will inspect the buildings soon and that stern action will be taken against those that will not have complied.

‘‘We are not doing any harm to anybody but what we want is a beautiful city..let us repaint our buildings as directed , I can’t do beatification alone .’’He stated.

The directive includes all business buildings in Central business district.

Nairobians  have also expressed their feelings , with larger percentage supporting it.

‘’We support the move though Sonko should ensure that nobody has been harassed in the process, but generally the idea will bring some uniformity and beauty,’’ a resident said.

Nairobi will be second county  after Mombasa to have its building structures in town  painted according to the county’s official colours.

The Nivalishe Pad Group members from Kayole Justice Center say that they chose to issue health packages for both boys and girls to help incorporate the boy child in the awareness campaign for sanitary pads.

Maryanne Kasina a member of the group says accessibility of sanitary towels to girls in the slums still remains a challenge.

The girls’ package they issued today contains a packet of sanitary towels, underpants and soaps while the boy’s package contains boxers and soaps.

Mary Ann says that menstrual hygiene is natural and should be treated like sex where by every public area which has free condoms for sex,sanitary towels should be present.

Before disappearing from the music scene years ago, the Longombas brothers took the Kenyan music scene by a storm with hits like Dondosa and Vuta Pumz.

The brothers relocated to the states and very little was heard about them until the time news made rounds that Christian Longomba, one half of the duo was critically ill and had to undergo a brain surgery which he successfully underwent.

Many were left wondering where Lovy had disappeared to, as it turns out Lovy received salvation back in 2013 and has been ministering to Christian faithfuls since then.

According to a video on his Youtube channel, Lovy became a prophet after receiving a message from the Lord.

“Fast forward to 2013, the lord positioned prophet Lovy in the valley of Los Angeles, CA and instructed him to begin a prayer group, in his living room, just as he was shown from his childhood visitation. Rooted in the prophetic, deliverance and healing, what began as a living room meeting has expanded to what would become revelation church.” he said

Lovy has now moved to open a Prophetic school and is calling on Christian faithfuls to enroll at Ksh.30,000.

The former singer turned minister has a huge congregation which he prophesies to every Sunday.

Three people have been hospitalized following a fire incident that broke out in Nairobi’s Kawangware are last night.

The three a mother and her two children were rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries from the fire incident.

The fire also razed down a two storey mabati building in Kabiro, Stage two in Kawangware.

Thugs also reportedly stole goods from shops affected by the fire.

The fire was started by a gas explosion.

Two suspected kidnappers were yesterday arrested by police officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations unit.

The officers also rescued four year old baby girl who had been kidnapped last week on Friday.

The two kidnappers 22 year old Mwaula Kathinzi and 20 year old Teresia Mwongela Kioko kidnapped the girl while she was walking home from her school in Utawala.

The kidnappers has been demanding for one million shillings to secure her release.

They are currently in police custody.
