Anthony Joshua has received nothing but love from the British sporting media and public since he beat Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley to win his titles two years ago.

But he’s likely to find out the hard way that life is going to change after “Fat Slob” Andy Ruiz jr sent him crashing down off his pedestal last Saturday.

As a loser there will no longer be the same demand for him to pose for selfies and the sycophants will evaporate as swiftly as snow in the Sahara.

Speaking to Ghetto radio sports ahead of Saturday fight against Tanzania Hussein Itaba pro Rayton Okwiri says that Anthony Joshua loss over Andy was because Anthony is used to quick knockouts and his stamina goes down whever the rounds go on

“So when the Mexican got the opportunity in his weakest points he got the better of Anthony taking the win on the seventh round.” He adds

A shot on the ABU middleweight title will be the sixth fight pro Okwiri has battled since he became pro in 2014 and fans are anticipating for a fight like no other.

Rayton Okwiri says that he has been preparing for the battle and that his body is fit for the fight and Itaba does not stand a chance.

“I am confident with the match on saturday and that Itaba is no match for me because most of the boxers he has lost to are nobodies which equals the ones he has won.” Okwiri adds.

Confusion and technical hitches were today experienced as Nairobi City County  Government today rushed to fully operationalize the new revenue system.

A section  of Nairobi residents and some traders who tried the new system stated that they were majorly experiencing slow internet in making payments.

Some stated that, they are not aware of the new formula of payment, and the need to be made aware of the same.

Nairobi County Parking Department director Tom Tinega  In  an exclusive interview with Ghetto News however stated that they are rolling out new gadgets and specialized team that will monitor the progress.

‘‘Nairobians should give some time this is a trial and we are doing what we can to ensure all the challenges are addressed…our digital  department is mapping  the city and everything  will be brought to record.’’

He further asked those who have paid for  parking in advance and were given county receipts not to worry and they will receive the services until  they utilize all the prepaid cash.

‘‘We have cases of those who paid through Jambo Pay in advance for parking services we want to assure them they will not be affected..but those who loaded cash  on Jambo Pay wallet should go direct to Jambo Pay and collect back their money we have already written to Jambo Pay over the same.’’ He reiterated.

Meanwhile there is general concern that there was no public awareness over the same and the move may see county losing revenues.

The long wait is over and its all systems go as 19 teams head to Busia for the second leg of the Boxing Association (BAK) National League.

The BAK National League punched-off on the weekend of May 9-11 at Nakuru’s Madison Square Garden in May preceded by National Novices in Nairobi, Intermediates in Thika and the Kenya Open Boxing Championships which attracted leading boxers including reigning ladies Commonwealth Gaines bronze medalist Christine Ongare, international Shaffi Bakari and Lorna Kusa also a national team boxer.

Busia’s leg will be held at the Kenya Medical Training College from June13-15.

Like the opener in Nakuru, this week’s event has also attracted leading boxers including Vihiga County who recently hosted a tournament earlier in the month.

According to (BAK) Ndondi Mashinani is geared towards regaining Kenya’s lost glory by creating an enabling environment for county teams to realize their potential in boxing.

Standards have been set and only the sky’s the limit. The bouts will feature male and women boxers,” added Mbote.

Perennial League Champions Kenya Police “Chafua Chafua” have lined up a star-studded squad comprising of Kenya Open champion Cosby Ouma (middle), welterweight Boniface Mugunde, Martin Maina in light-flyweight, Shaffi in flyweight and Martin Oduor in Bantamweight.

Shaffi has since moved a berth up to flyweight division after International Olympic Committee (IOC) dropped his specialty.

IOC axed his light-flyweight (49kg) and lightweight (60kg) from Olympics weight program.

This, he said, is a deliberate move to safeguard his Olympics aspirations ahead of the 2020 Games in Japan.

Ethan Maina will also box for the Nairobi based law enforcers in lightweight division with international Elly Ajowi hoping for the best in heavyweight.

Mary Christine of Siaya and Esther Wanjiku of Dallas will be renewing rivalry in Busia for the umpteenth time.

Light flyweight Wanjiku lost 0-3 to Christine in Nakuru’s semis and will be hoping to avenge the defeatwith zest and vigor.

Alice Waiyego and Pauline Chege both from Nairobi County are expected to shine in the 56kg ladies bantamweight division.

Police’s Humprey Ochieng aka ‘Jakababa’ will be seeking to avenge the two defeats he has suffered thus far at the hands of Nairobi hard-hitter Joseph Onyango.

Onyago, one of the rising stars from the ‘Ndondi Mashinani’ Initiative, has outpuched Jakababa twice in the Kenya Open and the League in Nakuru, and it will be interesting to ascertain just what’s up their sleeves in Busia- thrills and spills are guaranteed.

The Commission For Revenue Allocation has weighed in into the current stalemate between the National Assembly and the Senate on the division of revenue proposal.

CRA Commissioner Lineth Oyugi has urged the warring counties not to use corruption as a way of denying counties funds.

Speaking during the public forum on division of revenue MS Oyugi has criticized the treasury for using a vague definition of national interests to eat into the shareable interests.

“The national debt is also eating into the shareable revenue where the national Treasury has abused its power to borrow resulting in unsustainable debt levels which are eating counties revenue,” stated Oyugi.

She has however urged citizens to also elect leaders in the counties who are able to explain the usage of the county funds.

The National Assembly and the Senate are currently on a stalemate over the division of Revenue Proposal.

A meeting called yesterday to unlock the deadlock ended in disarray after both teams maintained hard-line positions.

The senate backs the counties call for more money while the assembly backs the Treasury and the national government.

Economist David Ndii who was also in the same forum warned that has said that lack of funds in counties is likely to kill devolution.

“Revenue raised nationally shall be shared equitably between national and county government through the division of  revenue process.’’ Said Ndii.
