A has surfaced online showing how Jamaican dancer  Roxanne ‘Roxy’ Evans popularly known as Bumpa broke her neck and died.

The dancer lost her life on January 24th after her dance partner jumped on her back causing her to snap her kneck.

Bumpa balancing upside down while another female dancer, identified by her alias Momo, adjusts Bumpa’s legs in preparation for the stunt that should have seen Momo jump through Bumpa’s opened legs.

Momo however did not manage the jump and her entire weight ends up on Bumpa.

The video ends with Bumpa lying flat on her face while Momo tries frantically to revive her.

It is alleged that a dance challenge was thrown out at the event with the winning prize being $3500 and the 2 colleagues came up with a freestyle dance to wow the crowd

Roxanne’s mother Olive Clennon revealed the dancer was rushed to the hospital following the incident.

The mother revealed that her daughter broke her neck in three places.

According to Miss Clennon, she didn’t think that her daughter would die because the doctor told them she would be okay after surgery.

“We rush to the hospital same time, but when we reach, she caa talk to nobody, all she could do is shake har head and the doctor dem tell mi seh har neck bruck inna three place. Honestly, mi neva know seh she woulda dead because the doctor dem did a seh she need some piece a iron inna har neck. Dem tell mi fi go pay some money and by the time mi pay the money, dem a rush har to Falmouth Hospital, so we follow dem to the hospital. Thursday we up deh and get the shocking news from a doctor seh she dead, none a wi couldn’t believe it,” she said

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of using him as a scapegoat to evade questions regarding unfulfilled electoral promises he made to the people of Bahati during his visit yesterday.

Ngunjiri a fierce critic of president Uhuru Kenyatta and an opposer of the handshake says that the president chose dwell on him instead of focusing on people-centered issues.

Ngunjri also stated that he will not shy away from criticising the president adding that the constitution gives him the mandate as an MP to oversight the executive.

“The President said that I should be told to let him do his job while I concentrate on my duties as an MP. I would like to remind the President respectfully that as an MP I am mandated to represent the voice of the people and also oversight the executive,” he stated.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday visited Bahati Constituency and accused him of insulting him.

Uhuru further chided Ngunjiri for working against the handshake adding that he will not be deterred from working towards uniting the country.

The Bahati MP however denied all these claims stating that his problem with the handshake and the BBI was because it was being hijacked by certain individuals to drive their 2022 Agenda.

“My issue is that the unity being pushed by the President and the former Prime Minister is marred with a lot of insincerity. Instead of building bridges, it appears some sections are stonewalling and building dams,” he said.

MATHARE POLICE HARASSMENT

A section of Mathare residents in Nigeria are up in arms over harassment and unlawful arrests of youths in the area.

The residents claim that police are harassing them after they refused to allow a group of chang’aa businessmen to grab an open land that they use for recreational activities.

Those who spoke to Ghetto Radio News claim that the businessmen then paid  the police money to revenge against the youth who blocked the land grabbing.

“From the day that the scuffle between the youth and chang’aa traders happened, the officers would just come and start firing. Some of us are arrested and taken to the police station. Funny thing is that we have never been charged, they are just demanding money from us,” said a youth in the area.

Linda Wanjiru says that her husband was arrested and taken to the Pangani Police Station.

She says that upon questioning why he was being arrested, the police only told her to give them money for him to be released.

“If these officers continue like this, the youth generation will be wiped out in Mathare. Because some of us are even arrested and thrown into police cells with ibabies on our backs,” she stated.

A German tourist was today morning found dead in a hotel room in Kilifi County.

The tourist’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood bearing deep deep cuts and his Kenyan lover of Kamba origin missing.

A police report states that a worker at the Moriema cottages upon reporting on duty had noticed that the tourist by the name Detering Herman had not woken up since morning.

Upon peeping through the room’s window, he saw some blood stains on the bed and immediately alerted the police.

Police then broke the room’s door only to find the tourist’s lifeless body lying on the floor.

The body was then taken to the Malindi Sub County Morgue awaiting an autopsy.

Inside fighting between governor Mike Sonko and his cabinet  continues as Sonko takes his own County Executive in charge Finance Pauline Kahiga Waititu to court protesting her refusal to vacate finance office.

In his documents and sworn in affidavit, Sonko wants Kahiga out of finance  office saying  that he made changes way back before he was charged.

‘‘From the documents that   i have produced herein concerning the changes that i made in changes in CECs , it’s clear that the county secretary did not appoint the 1st interested party at all in the finance docket ,but merely forwarded the gazette notice to the government printer as required by the central bank of Kenya.’’ The affidavit reads.

Kahiga says the procedure to reshuffle her was unconstitutional  since Sonko has no such powers after he was charged.

Meanwhile opposition MCAs  led Peter Imwatok have hit out at Sonko over the same saying it’s shameful for the governor to move to court over illegality.

‘‘He  is bitter,  Kahiga did not pay big businessmen with huge amount in pending bills for him to receive kick-backs , the tussle here is the governor wants to control who to be paid in the 1.4 billion released by treasury but we shall not allow him,’ says Imwatok .

They further accused Sonko of using his acting county secretary Lebo Ole Morintat to back date things for his personal benefits.

‘‘Lebo must be told that as the assembly we are coming for him,he is the one used by Sonko to intimidate CECs transfer and punish staffs against illegality and we have seen that in inspectorate department..we shall deal with him.’’ He added.

The agreement will give the band access to UMG’s global network around the world and will allow greater opportunities for the band to reach new audiences globally.

Speaking after the news broke on Thursday, Sauti Sol band member Bien Aime Baraza said he has waited for this moment for long.

According to Sotic Gang, a two man band, Ethic lifted the idea for their song ‘Soko’ from them.

According to Sotic, Ethic crew uploaded their song ‘Soko’ after their song (Sotic) Isti was uploaded on Youtube.

Ethic’s manager Sam has however rubbished the claims that the group stole Sotic’s ‘iseti’

Sotic posted their song on January 17, while Ethic’s song was uploaded on YouTube on Jan 23.

The group allegedly tried to reach out to Swat over the issue but the issue was not resolved.

Sotic claims Swat was rude to them telling them how they’ve not made it.

Kasabuni residents  in Babadogo Ward Ruaraka constituency  are now faulting Kenya Power for not addressing the power issue in the area after the company disconnected them from power a fortnight ago.

According to David Otieno who is one of the affected residents  not all of them are using illegal power and that the move to disconnect the whole estate is ill-advised.

‘‘We are worried ………its is now two weeks with no power yet some of us  have meters and tokens and we pay for them and we don’t know  which criteria tha Kenya Power used to disconnect the estate’’ Otieno said.

They have called on Kenya Power to move with speed and recconnect genuine power users saying that they are being forced to close their businesses as early as 7pm.

‘’We can’t go beyond 7pm because of insecurity of this  place,and this has really affected our businesses.’’ Otieno said.

Kenya Power continues with purge on illegal connections  terming them  economical crime that must be dealt with.

Detectives have arrested a woman suspected to have been behind the brutal murder of a German Tourist at a hotel in Kilifi County.

Thirty two year old Mary Mwikali Kavuu is suspected to have murdered the tourist identified as a 78 year old Detering Herman on Tuesday before fleeing.

The suspect was arrested in Diani in South Coast.

“Analysis which placed the suspect at the Scene of Crime led the detectives handling the case to her hideout in Diani, triggering her arrest,” the DCI stated in a statement.

The victim’s lifeless body was found at his room in Moriema Cottages by a receptionist, who reported the incident to the police.

Further investigations ongoing to establish the motive behind the appalling killing. Suspect to be arraigned once necessary police procedure is complete.

Khaligraph is now calling on the two artistes to sit down and solve the issue out of court.

Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro is set to be sworn in as the new Kiambu County Governor today.

A Gazette notice issued on Thursday stated that the swearing-in shall take place at the Kiambu headquarters at 10.00 am.

The notice was issued by Kiambu County Secretary Martin Mbugua.

“It is notified for information of the general public that the swearing-in ceremony of James Karanja Nyoro, as the Governor of Kiambu County, shall take place on Friday, 31st January, 2020, at Kiambu County Headquarters, starting at 10.00 a.m,” reads the notice.

Nyoro’s swearing in ceremony was postponed yesterday after the High Court judge failed to show up citing illegality issues.

A section of legislators protested the move claiming that politics was being played.

The father of Felix Orinda popularly known as Dj Evolve has publicly thanked Embakasi East Member of Parliament.

Speaking to a local media house, John Orinda revealed that the Member of Parliament has spent over 800K on his son’s medical bill.

“I thank Babu Owino for taking my son to Nairobi Hospital. I think he would have died had he taken him to a medical facility that has limited equipment. So far, the MP has paid Ksh 800, 000 for Felix’s treatment,” he said

Orinda also revealed that his son has been having difficulty breathing and is unable to talk.

“He  has been having difficulty breathing for the last four days. Currently, he is unable to talk, His spinal cord was badly affected. On Tuesday, January 28, he was scheduled for a surgical operation, but the doctors said he wasn’t in good shape to undergo the exercise. The medical procedure was, then pushed to February 4.” He said

Babu Owino was released on a cash bail of Ksh. 10 Million.

Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi however gave Babu some relief by ordering him to pay the Ksh. 10 Million in four monthly installments.

This means that Babu will have to pay Ksh. 2.5 Million for the next four months to cover the bail terms

He however moved to court on January 30, to have the cash bail reduced. He argued that he was already committed to covering the medical bill, and according to him, the bail amount was too much.

Gospel singer Peter Blessing was arraigned in court on Tuesday 28th January following his arrest a week a go.

The singer had been accused of obtaining cash 2,039,000 from gospel singer Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati between 4th July 2019 and 5th January 2020..

“Peter Munyaru you are charged with obtaining money by false pretense, between the 4^th of July 2019 to the 5^th day of January 2020 at EMB Records in Nairobi. Obtaining Sh2, 039, 000 from Kevin Kioko by falsely pretending that you were able to produce music videos, with the said EMB records.” Read his charge sheet

Appearing before chief magistrate Martha Mutuku, Blessing denied the charges and was freed on a Sh500K Bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh200K.

Blessing was released after his bail was posted by a good samaritan.

3. Huddah Monroe and Juma Jux

Netizens are convinced Kenyan lass Huddah Monroe is now dating her Tanzanian crush Juma Jux.

According to online detectives, Huddah Monroe and Juma Jux may just be enjoying some quality time together in Zanzibar.

Tanzanian singer Harmonize rubbed shoulders with veteran Tanzanian singer Chidi Benz after using his photos to promote an upcoming event.

The singer took to social media to share posters announcing the list of celebrities scheduled to perform at his ongoing tour scheduled to go down at Mwembe in Yanga, Dar es Salaam.

Chidi Benz who was part of the list was however not pleased that Harmonize used his name yet he is not part of the artistes scheduled for that event.

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has  once again reshuffled his cabinet firing current Acting County Executive  for Finance Pauline  Kahiga and Winnie Gathangu of Lands.

In the new re-alignment  former ‘Mr. Fix It’ Charles Kerich bounced back in the Land,Urban Planning and Housing docket.

The list also includes Mohammed Dagane who was suspended  during the collapse of a building at Top Talent school in Dagoreti. Dagane has now been transferred to Roads and infrastructure docket.

The new faces that have been brought back are politicians Karen Nyamu, who will steer Agriculture Ministry, George Fredrick appointed as new CEC Trade and Commerce while Omogi Osewe will  head Tourism and Co-operative .

Nyamu,George  and Osewe will now have to wait for vetting by the county assembly before assuming office.

Sonko’s Communication Director Elkana Jacobs has confirmed the changes saying that the changers are geared towards steering service delivery.

‘‘The changes are true and what the governor wants is better service delivery to all Nairobians and smooth running of county government.’’ Elkana said.

Sonko’s decision  to reshuffle his cabinet has been influenced by yesterday’s ruling on the case where the high court declined to cancel the cashbail of  Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal following his move to reshuffle his CECs.

Last weekend, Martin Mbugua accused Rachel and two other men of assaulting him for three hours.

The upcoming singer narrated how the issue started after his friend Miracle baby who is managed by the radio personality failed to show up for a commercial shoot.

Mwalimu Rachel allegedly blamed Mbugua for delaying miracle baby for the shoot.

“She came directly to me and started slapping me before calling on the other guys to join in on the beating. One of them who was heavily built meted out the worst beating. During the assault, Rachel was insulting and spitting on me. Then she demanded that I explain to them what had happened on that day, Since I was new to that area, I stopped and the assault continued on the road, with the guy yanking my dreadlocks. He then decided to put me in the boot of the car I had dropped off Peter in. With Peter locked in the house, Mwalimu Rachel and the man started hitting my manhood. I was tortured for almost three hours,”  Martin said
